Terms of use

1. Acceptance

These terms govern the use of konciencia.me, kambio.me, the Konciencia app and the VIP, VIP Community and KAMBio services, offered by Konciencia Atomica Ltd ("Konciencia"). By purchasing a service or creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Education and coaching — not medical care

  • Konciencia offers education and coaching in health, habits and lifestyle, based on scientific evidence.
  • Pauli and Rapha are PhDs in Biology and certified coaches. They are not medical doctors and do not diagnose, treat or cure diseases.
  • Nothing we offer replaces the care of your doctor or another health professional. Never change or stop medication without talking to your doctor.
  • Before changing your diet, fasting or exercise — especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a health condition, take medication or have a history of eating disorders — consult your doctor.
  • You are responsible for your health decisions. If you experience any worrying symptom, seek medical care.
  • Emergencies: call the emergency service in your country.

3. Who can use the services

You must be 18 or over and provide truthful information. You are responsible for keeping your password secure.

4. The services

Free consultation An online conversation of about 30 minutes, with no commitment.

VIP

  • A 13-week one-to-one program: session 0 + 12 weekly sessions on Zoom, with the items described on the VIP page at the time of purchase.
  • Price = base program + the optional extras you choose. The base program includes all of Pauli and Rapha's work (sessions, WhatsApp, practical guide, blood test analysis, app). The device and the genetic test are optional.
  • How you pay:
    • Initial payment, before you start: an administration fee plus the full amount of the optional extras you have chosen. With it, we buy your device and your test before session 0.
    • Remainder of the base program: the administration fee is deducted from the price of the base program, and the balance can be paid in up to 6 instalments.
    • Optional extras are charged at the price and in the currency of your country. Amounts are reviewed every quarter; the amount confirmed in writing when you sign up is the one that applies.
  • The exact amounts are agreed in writing before the start.
  • Payment by bank transfer or Wise.
  • Device (optional): Oura ring or Whoop. Whoop is recommended in countries where Oura is not available (such as Brazil) or when a ring is not practical for you. The device is yours to keep.
  • Device membership: the optional extra includes the first 12 months of Oura or Whoop membership, paid in the initial payment. After that, renewing is your decision, paid by you directly to the manufacturer.
  • Genetic test (optional): analysed by SelfDecode. In the USA and New Zealand, with SelfDecode's own kit. In Brazil, for now, the test is done with Genera and the data file is sent to SelfDecode. You can also use another laboratory of your choice.
  • You can do VIP without a device and without a genetic test. As our work relies heavily on data, in that case the records you enter by hand in the app need to be very accurate.
  • The device and the genetic test are third-party products, subject to the terms and warranty of those providers.
  • Sessions are recorded and transcribed by Zoom, with your consent, to prepare your reports (see Privacy Policy).

VIP Community A monthly subscription after VIP: access to the app, one one-to-one session a month and a private WhatsApp group.

KAMBio A monthly or annual subscription, with access to the 8-week online program, the Clases, the app and the community.

5. Payments, renewal and cancellation

  • Subscriptions (KAMBio and VIP Community):
    • charged through Stripe, in US dollars (USD), and renewed automatically at the end of each period;
    • you can cancel whenever you like in the app or by email; access continues until the end of the period already paid for;
    • we will give at least 30 days' notice of price changes.
  • VIP: amounts, instalments and payment dates as set out in the written agreement sent to you. Overdue instalments may suspend the sessions until payment is brought up to date.
  • Taxes and bank fees: in accordance with the law and your bank.

6. Refunds

KAMBio has a 14-day guarantee. VIP and the VIP Community are non-refundable.

  • KAMBio — 14-day guarantee: if you cancel your subscription within the first 14 days after purchase, we refund the amount paid and your account is closed. After the 14 days there is no refund: you can cancel whenever you like, the cancellation takes effect from the next period and the period already paid for is not refunded.
  • VIP Community: you can cancel whenever you like; the cancellation takes effect from the next period, and the period already paid for is not refunded.
  • VIP: when you confirm your place, we set aside our time and, with your initial payment, buy the optional extras you have chosen (device and genetic test); for that reason, amounts paid are not refunded.
  • We offer the free consultation (VIP) and the free class (KAMBio) so that you can decide in your own time before paying.
  • Exception — rights guaranteed by law: nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be waived — for example, the 7-day right of withdrawal for online purchases in Brazil (art. 49 of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor), the 14-day right of withdrawal in the European Union and the guarantees of New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. In those cases, we refund in accordance with the law.

7. Sessions: scheduling and rescheduling

We are flexible: sessions can be rescheduled by mutual agreement, through the app or WhatsApp. We only ask that you let us know as far in advance as possible. If we need to reschedule, we will offer a new time.

8. Use of content

  • All content (videos, Clases, audio, guides, workbooks, texts, the "Konciencia" and "KAMBio" brands) belongs to Konciencia or is used under licence.
  • You receive a personal, non-transferable licence for your own use while your account is active.
  • You may not copy, record, resell, share access to or publish the content.

9. Community and conduct

In the groups, chats and open sessions, we ask for respect and confidentiality: what other participants share stays in the group. We may remove messages or suspend the access of anyone who disrespects other people, spams or discloses third-party content.

10. Results

Every person is unique. Testimonials reflect individual experiences and do not guarantee results. The result depends, to a large extent, on your participation and on putting the habits into practice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Konciencia's liability for any claim related to the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for health decisions made without medical guidance, nor for failures of third-party services (Zoom, WhatsApp, Oura, Stripe). This does not exclude liabilities that the law does not allow to be excluded.

12. Suspension and termination

You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these terms or non-payment, notifying you whenever possible.

13. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. Important changes will be notified by email or in the app at least 30 days in advance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without prejudice to the rights guaranteed to you by the consumer protection law of your country.
